Mentre in America impazzava l'E3 nuovo formato Microsoft ha silenziosamente rilasciato un update al firmware Xbox 360 che consente ad ulteriori giochi di funzionare in retrocompatibilitą. Le maggiori aggiunte sono Outrun pair Outrun 2 e Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast, ma ci sono anche i sempre seguiti giochi di corse Project Gotham Racing e Project Gotham Racing 2 che finalmente gireranno anche su Xbox 360.

Oltre a questi giochi sportivi i fans di Oblivion possono anche rigiocare al loro Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind e finalmente si vede funzionare anche l'eccellente Jet Set Radio Future (che in teoria doveva gią funzionare nell'ultimo update ma non andava ancora).
